Dr Anu arrested and charged to court over failed plastic surgery and death of patient

Self-acclaimed plastic surgeon, Dr Anu of MedContour Services Ltd, was arrested on Wednesday, July 1st, according to Nigerian journalist, Fisayo Soyombo.

 According to Fisayo,her trial kicked off today, July 3rd, at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The case is; 'Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Dr. Adepoju Anuoluwapo & MedContour', and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is the prosecutor.

She was brought in by the police around 11.33am.

Among the charges against her is a failed cosmetic surgery by her which  led to the death of one Mrs. Nneka Miriam Barbara Onwuzuligbo.

She is also charged with failure to comply with a summons by FCCPC.

Recall that a popular Twitter user, Omohtee who was left battling for her life in a surgery gone wrong by Dr. Anu, cried out 3 months ago on social media.

France and the EU has cut financial assistance to Niger after military coup

  Following the overthrow of Niger's democratically elected president by a coup, France and the EU have stopped providing financial assistance to the West African nation.
