'Euphoria' actor Angus Cloud passes away at age 25

A letter from his family confirmed that Angus Cloud, a budding actor best known for his part in the HBO miniseries "Euphoria," had passed away.

He was 25.

We had to say goodbye to an amazing human being today, and it broke my heart. Angus was significant to all of us in a variety of ways, including as an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son. He lost his father last week and battled much to come to terms with this sorrow. The fact that Angus is now back with his father, who served as his closest friend, is the only solace we can provide. We hope that Angus's death will serve as a reminder to others that they are not fighting this battle alone and should not do it quietly since he was open about it while he was alive, the statement said.

His family said, "We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone." We are still mourning this tragic loss, therefore we beg for privacy at this time.

In the 2019 film "Euphoria," Fezco, a sweet-natured heroin dealer who cared profoundly for Rue, portrayed by Zendaya, was Cloud's breakthrough role.

A representative for HBO remarked, "We are very sorry to hear about Angus Cloud's loss. He was a cherished member of the HBO and Euphoria family and has extraordinary skill. We offer his friends and family our sincere sympathies during this trying time.

The Oakland native told how a casting agent found him on the streets of Brooklyn in an interview with iD in March. "I thought it could be some kind of scam," he said with a chuckle. "They then invited me back in and explained the function to me; at that point, everything made more sense. because, in my head, they stopped me because I seemed to have the potential to be a star. I respond, "No, it's because I appear to be a drug dealer."

Cloud said that he was startled by his popularity when "Euphoria" became popular.

"The difference between me and everyone else who's famous it's that they were trying to go get famous, for the most part," he said to the outlet. They were putting in a lot of effort and were certain that they would succeed. It was just too fantastic of an opportunity for me to pass up. I didn't expect things to get this far.
